The mission of this role is to become the product owner for the entire hiring domain: bring the fragmented pieces into a coherent product ecosystem, set the strategy, improve the efficiency of the hiring function, embed AI where it adds real value, and build transparent reporting.

3+ years as a Product Owner / Product Manager; ideally with HR Tech experience, though experience with B2B / enterprise or internal products is acceptable.

Experience working in an environment with many stakeholders and several systems/integrations; the ability to prioritize under limited resources.

A data-driven approach: working with metrics independently, building reporting, and making decisions based on data.

Confident collaboration with an engineering team in Agile/Scrum: backlog, specifications, acceptance.

An understanding of how and where to apply AI/ML in products, with a realistic assessment of applicability.

Strong communication and the ability to defend product decisions to the business.

Languages: Azerbaijani / English; Russian is plus.

Experience consolidating or replacing platforms and migrating data is a plus.

Experience shipping AI features to production.

Candidate profile and sourcing tips

Prior experience at a large, established organization — explicitly: a major Telecom operator, a major Bank, or a Big 4 firm

Background in market research, strategy, competitive intelligence, or economic/financial analysis

Exposure to the payments, e-commerce, or banking/fintech sectors specifically 

Working proficiency in SQL for independent data extraction and validation

Ability to build clear data visualizations to support a research narrative

Ability to design and deliver professional slide decks / presentations

Fluent Azerbaijani and English (verbal and written)

Improve the efficiency of the hiring function (time-to-fill, funnel conversion, candidate quality and experience, recruiter workload).

Embed AI where it delivers real value (e.g., candidate screening/matching, generating and optimizing job-post copy, automating recruiter routine, funnel analytics) — with a sober assessment of the benefit, not for the sake of hype.
