Background
• Undergraduate degree or higher
• 2+ years of design experience preferred
• Previous experience in insurance business preferred
Specific job skills
• Able to plan, conduct, and synthesize user research and usability testing
• Skilled at creating interaction design solutions for desktop, web and mobile applications
• Familiar working with design systems that consistently scale across platforms
• Experience planning and conducting user research at various stages of the design process
• Strong communication skills with ability to articulate the value of a design choice to users and non-designer stakeholders
• Combined skills in the following: User Research, Interaction Design, Visual Design
• Knowledge of agile software development and experience of working in design teams in an Agile product development setting is a plus
• Experience in UI software - Figma or AdobeXD
• Preferable understanding of front-end development
• Customer-centric in designing visualizations
• Thrives on a “test and learn” mentality
• Synthesizes abstract ideas into tangible solutions for design
• Is passionate about problem solving through design
• Has a strong sense of ownership and proactively advocates for the end user
• Open to taking on new challenges and learning new skills
• Collaborative, curious, empathetic, open-minded, innovative
