We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator with deep expertise in SQL performance tuning and optimization. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on analyzing and improving SQL execution plans, troubleshooting performance issues, and working closely with developers and architects to enhance database responsiveness. In addition to tuning responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to perform key database administration tasks to ensure system availability, security, and recoverability.

5+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration (Oracle 12c/19c+).

Proven hands-on experience in SQL tuning, index analysis, and optimizer behavior.

Strong command of Oracle performance tools (AWR, ASH, SQL Monitor, TKProf).

Proficiency in PL/SQL development and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard technologies.

Experience with database backup/recovery strategies using RMAN.

Understanding of database security, auditing, and user access controls.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries, PL/SQL code, and execution plans across multiple environments.

Collaborate with development teams to provide best practices for efficient database access.

Perform proactive performance diagnostics and root-cause analysis on query slowdowns.

Use AWR, ASH, SQL Monitor, and other Oracle tools to identify performance bottlenecks.

Suggest and validate SQL Profiles, Indexes, Hints, and data model improvements.

Monitor database health and optimize resource usage (CPU, memory, IO).

Manage schema objects, tablespaces, partitions, materialized views, and statistics.

Perform backup & recovery operations, patching, cloning, and upgrades as needed.

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in production and non-production Oracle databases.

Participate in database design and architecture discussions.
