We are looking for an Enterprise Architect to own the architecture of major initiatives end-to-end - from the initial solution concept through architectural decision-making, delivery, and verification in production.

This is a hands-on role. You will work closely with engineering and delivery teams on a daily basis, build working prototypes where appropriate, and use modern AI and agentic development tools as part of your regular workflow.

• 7+ years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years of experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect in banking, fintech, or a large-scale product company.
• Proven experience owning architecture for large-scale systems, including distributed and high-load systems, microservices, API-first integration, event streaming, and modern data platforms.
• Experience presenting, explaining, and defending architecture decisions to architecture committees and business stakeholders.
• Strong practical experience with architecture documentation, including architecture decision records, landscape diagrams, and integration specifications.
• Professional working proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Azerbaijani, Russian, and English. Proficiency in all three is a strong advantage.

• Own solution and enterprise architecture for major initiatives across the bank and the Bir Ecosystem, including scope, integration points, target architecture, and delivery feasibility.
• Develop architecture decisions, present and defend them at the Architecture Committee, and follow approved decisions through to implementation.
• Maintain current and target-state architecture views for your area, including systems, API contracts, data flows, and dependencies.
• Review solution designs prepared by delivery teams and ensure technical feasibility and alignment with platform, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain architecture decision records, landscape documentation, and the architecture asset catalogue for your area.
• Contribute to the bank’s AI transformation of software delivery, incorporating agentic AI into architecture and development processes.
• Serve as the primary architecture point of contact for engineering teams and help resolve design-related questions efficiently.
